Jesus' Calling

So its been a minute since I've posted anything. God has done so much in my life. Through a season of brokenness and pain I became a living sacrifice unto God and as I began to identify myself completely in Christ Jesus God's purpose for my life was revealed. So what is your purpose? If you don't know it yet, that's okay. Romans 12:1-2 says: "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." By following these steps you will know God's will for you life.

My purpose is to be a "Voice for the Voiceless" speaking out for those whose voice is silenced. In my last post, I discussed raising funds to go to Haiti on a mission trip with my church. Well, thankfully I was blessed enough and had the wonderful opportunity to go. While there, we conducted soccer camps in the rural areas of Grand Goave, Haiti. In addition, we volunteered at Servants of All orphanage and on our last day of our 5-day mission trip, we visited New Life Children's Home, which is a orphanage that has a special needs branch.

My favorite part of the mission trip was visiting New Life Children's Home. If you want to be wrecked from the inside out go to an orphanage and love on those who have lost their families, been abandon, and abused. My life is forever changed and so will your's be if you do the same. While there, all the members of my team had the opportunity to wheel around the individuals that are in a wheel chair and I wheeled around this precious angel. She has no language, cannot walk, and cannot hold up her head. As I wheeled her around the orphanage, I began to sing, " Jesus loves they little children--all the children of the world. Red, and yellow, black, and white they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world." A smile formed on her lips. I then began to sing, "Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so. Little ones for they belong. They are weak, but He is strong...YES, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! YES, JESUS LOVES ME! The bible tells me so." She began to laugh with joy. I continued to sing the song over and over again. What happened next was amazing! As I sung, I heard her shout out "Hallelujah!" and that's when I began to weep. This beautiful girl belongs and is loved by our Most High God. He sees her as precious and though she may be weak, He is strong! What a beautiful revelation.

During a difficult season in my life, God brought me to Swaziland, Africa one year and Haiti the next, so that my purpose may be revealed to me and in me. I will fight for those who have no voice and spread the hope of Jesus! No better purpose than to be a light in the dark.
