When I go to church, my favorite part is actually the alter call. I didn't know that the alter call being one of my favorite parts about church would deem me as unique (apparently most people don't have my same answer), but truly, I love seeing people go to the alter! What is a alter call, eh? After the pastor preaches a sermon they usually give an invitation to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior or receive freedom and prayer for certain matters.
So when I see people go to the alter my heart fills with this joy and I root everyone on. I literally clap my hands on fire, and scream "Whooo!" at the top my lungs. People are literally taking the steps to change their life and coming in contact with the Savior! To walk to the alter you have to set aside your pride and admit you can't do it by yourself. That is hard and I commend all who take those steps. That's a big deal to me. I often picture the people in Heaven, clapping, rejoicing and singing, much much louder than me...
Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.-- Luke 15:3-7
I also love praying for people. That is why I am an alter worker for our youth ministries. I may not be the best, but it isn't about being the best. It is about being a vessel for God to speak through and have His way. I tend to believe that when we speak God's words and wants out loud on earth we quicken them to being. I also believe when I pray, I give all my worries and concern to God and I know that I can move on and trust Him for an answer. For I know He loves me, or you for that matter, far more than I or any other being could love someone. So why not trust Him? They say I am free spirited. That is because I allow my spirit to be free from the worries of this world. It was a choice. Of course, I hurt at times, but I lay my hurts at the feet of Jesus and allow my self to be healed in His grace. Freedom was a choice. You have to choose and I choose life! What have you chosen?
This blog will be discussing the journey and the places God is taking me on my walk of faith and I will also be discussing my hopes and dreams and just hopefully, I will inspire you too.

Hair
My HUR (hair). I have been wearing my hair natural, with no chemicals, for 2 years now. Now you might be asking, "what does she mean by no chemicals?" I use to relax my hair, which means I used chemicals to break the bonds in my hair to make it straight. When you see black people with straight hair it is more or less relaxed, a weave/wig, or flat ironed. Very few black people actually have naturally straight hair. If you relax your hair you might now be asking "is there any such thing as a black person with naturally straight hair?" Yes, my grandmother was one of them. Nothing is impossible people.
Sabina Karlsson rocks the length that I want my hair to be. I love her hair. It reminds of a lion mane. RAWR!
One day, I'll reach my goal
